Learning Difficulties Support Unit

Who Are We?

Our unit offers accommodations for a wide range of LD / special needs students, where we try to help them in the best way we can. We ensure they get an equal education to all other students, delivered in a manner that suits their abilities through documentation of the individual’s disabilities to assure access to all necessary support services.

Learning Disabilities/Special needs Unit Mission?

Our mission is to be a point of contact between the different departments to deliver the students’ needs and concerns regarding their special needs.

Why Learning Disabilities/Special needs Unit?

We aim to assure consistency and fair treatment for all LD / special needs students across campus.
We mainly try to conduct individual and small group intervention and remediation sessions for students with disabilities including literacy, numeracy and study skills. We have also been trying to raise awareness of LD/special needs students’ rights to getting specific accommodations across all units.
